2025 NORTH HARBOR FRESHWATER MASTERS

NOTICE of RACE

The regatta will be organised and hosted by the Pupuke Boating Club (Inc)
at Sylvan Park Ave, Milford and will be held on Sunday 9th November 2025.

1.0 Rules

Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025 - 2028 (the rules)

2.0 Alterations to Racing Rules

rule 32 will include an additional method of 'shortening the course' using 'S' over '1'
rule 35 will be extended to say:
  "any boats not finished within 10 minutes of the first boat, may be scored as DNF"
rule 44.1 will require a One-Turn (360°) penalty for a breach of a Part-2 rule

3.0 Entries

accepted on the day from any single-handed centreboard sailor aged 30+
the usual classes of craft entered:   Laser (ILCA 7), Radial (ILCA 6), Jollyboat J14
a $30 entry fee covers all (racing & afters)

4.0 Schedule

five races, each approx 35 minutes duration are scheduled
Sunday1000 briefing
 1030 up to 5 races  back to back
PrizeGiving1530 or at the conclusion of racing
a separate start will be considered for any class that has six or more entrants
no warning signal will be made after 1500

5.0 Sailing Instructions

will be available at registration or click here

6.0 Courses

racing will be conducted about fixed marks in the lake and be of the windward/leeward/triangle variety

7.0 Scoring

the Appendix-A LowPointsSystem will apply, two races constituting a series.
after three completed races, a boat's worst score will be dropped from her total.

8.0 Prizes

prizes will be awarded to placegetters in 'standard' age divisions:
30+  45+  55+  65+  75+  as at 10 November
